What's been going on with Jacob, Sofi, and Chelsea June 2009

Sofi:
Sofi has been as busy as ever. She took 4 weeks of swimming lessons in April and May. She is so much better in the water now. She can not swim yet but she can tread water for a time and get to the side to hold on. She is jumping in by herself in the shallow water or with a life jacket in the deep water. Sofi has also been taking pre dance lessons since last fall and had her first recital at the end of May. She looked so cute in her red and white pokadotted dress. Not what I would have chosen but she is adorable. She is now taking gymnastics and loving it. I don't have any pictures yet. On June 15th we Sofi, Jacob and I went to the Traders point creamery and did a self tour with my friend Damaris and her son Little Gene. He's almost two and cute as a button. The kids loved the cows and chickens. Sofi has also been enjoying side walk chalk and doing some great pictures. She usually draws a unicorn.




Jacob:

Well Jacob played his upright Bass in the end of the year concert for school. He will not be in band or orchestra next year because he wants to move to percussion and the school will not let him. He is taking private lessons for percussion (mostly drums and piano at this point) and electric guitar. He recently strung his own guitar for the first time. Great job Jacob. He also turned 13 years old in May and chose Bubs burgers for dinner. They have a challenge there where if you can eat all of the "Big Ugly burger" you get your picture on the wall. The "Big Ugly" is one pound of hamburger after it's cooked. It's very good but I can hardly finish a 1/4 lb. He did it, see the pictures below. Jacob is also enjoying being a great uncle and brother. He has been a big help with Eli.




Chelsea:
Has done a wonderful job becoming a mom. She does welcome her breaks when Michael takes Eli but always misses him. She also loves to draw with chalk and does some very nice drawings. Chelsea also tries to be a teenager on her days without Eli by getting with friends and going out. She loves Eli so much.
