Happy New Year 2009

Hi all. We have a very challenging and rewarding few months since vacation. At the end of the post I will paste the yearly new letter for those who may have missed it. Here are some pictures of the last few months. Enjoy.

End of the year Danielson New letter

Hi all I have gotten behind on the Blog due to lack of time and technical difficulties. So this year I am doing a letter again. We have had quite an eventful year. We ventured out for a camping vacation in June and in July we took a trip to St. Louis, Mo. All was fun and good time spent together.

Chelsea was taking private art lessons until school started and enjoyed the diversity and experience she gained. This was put on hold as she started her first year in High school. This year she was excited about photography, choir and drawing classes. Chelsea also had a surprise for us that we never expected. She will be giving us our first grandchild in March. Needless to say sooner then we expected. Parenting is always a challenge and God continues to teach us in all things. The baby is due March 31st and is a boy. She is doing well and we have become good friends with the father's family. Also there has been overwhelming support from friends and family. I just have to say "Thank You!" from the bottom of my heart for the support through difficult times. We do look forward now to the wondrous birth of our grandson.

Jacob is in 7th grade in the middle school. He was on the football team in the fall, which was fun for him and a lot of work. He made it through despite my anxiety about injuries. Jacob continues to enjoy weekly guitar practice and in school he plays the large ½ bass in orchestra. He also got a mohawk, which is fun for him. Jacob continues to grow and is going to soon tower over Mark and me. He loves to rough house with Sofia and play video games with Mark. Jacob also went deer hunting again with grandpa Randy but the deer were slim this year so neither one of them brought home a deer. Dad says Jacob is a pretty good shot.

Sofia goes to daycare 4 days a week and loves all of her friends there. Sofi is also in dance one time a week and enjoys that. She enjoys playing with Polly pockets, baby dolls, coloring, and playing with anyone available. She has a next-door neighbor that she plays with often too. She will not go to Kindergarten until 2010 so she will attend preschool in the 2009-2010 school year.

Mark is still working at nFrame in Carmel but has recently been able to do some workdays from home, which has been very nice to save gas and have him close to home to help shuttle kids when necessary. He has recently found Facebook and has been hooking up with old classmates.

I am still working with the Indiana First Steps program as an occupational therapist (kids ages 0-3 years old). I have increased to working 4 days a week to save for baby and then plan to move back to 3 days a week when the baby arrives. Myself and the dad's mom and grandma are going to share babysitting while Chelsea attends school in the fall. I do look forward to another baby in the house. Children are wonderful. We love you all and hope this letter finds you all in good health. Have a great year.
